pronounced  La-Bow-Ra-Twar  - It's a play on words using "beau" (beautiful), combined with the French spelling of Laboratory. The concept was born in collaboration with Belgian photographer yOuKfOu, as a way for us to come to terms with our bad case of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). Basically we just couldn't stop buying cameras and film and we needed a way to get rid of some of it while trying to support our habit. That idea then blossomed and melded with my unhealthy obsession with all aspects of photography and art, to form what has become the odd amalgamation you find here today. Hopefully this site will introduce you to new artists, offer you exclusive artwork and publications, provide you with new tools to make your own creations, and inspire you to experiment beautifully.
