This is the wonderful & rare professional slide film Kodak
Ektachrome E100GX. This emulsion was discontinued in 2009. Our batch
expired in 2007 but is still giving quite nice results as you can see
from my examples. It is a fine-grain daylight film with its own unique
color palette.
I had the opportunity to acquire a small amount of
this film so I have made a limited number of rolls available
for purchase.
As you can see, my tests with this rare film
produced some nice results. When processed as regular E-6 the colors
are rather cool and brilliant, which is just what you want to maximize
the
effect of the chrome film. I haven't tried cross-processing it yet.
This is a stock film from Kodak and therefore does have the ISO 100 DX
Code unlike most of the other films I list here.
E100GX delivers extremely fine grain (rms 8), a lower D-min for
brighter whites, and an improved tone scale. These films featured the
latest advancements in Kodak’s Color Amplifying Technology and KODAK
T-GRAIN® Emulsion Technology to capture light more efficiently.
EKTACHROME 100GX Film also features moderately enhanced color
saturation, and produces exceptional results for advertising, fashion,
editorial, architecture, nature / wildlife, and other commercial
applications. These films are designed for exposure with daylight or
electronic flash.
