This is a super-fine grain film with really interesting colors.
Originally produced as "internegative film" it was intended to be used
in professional lab machines to make a negative from a slide so
that prints could then be made from the negative. Normally sold only in
100ft rolls, I am making a small number of rolls available to use in
35mm cameras so you can experiment with this unique emulsion which is
no longer being produced.
It is excellent for long, timed exposures using a
tripod or for getting a shallow depth of field in bright sunlight. Take
off that ND filter - with this film you can shoot at ƒ2.4 at 1/100
second during a sunny day at the beach!
You MUST have a camera that can either be set to ISO
(ASA) 6 or one that allows manual exposure settings to use this film
which has no DX code. This film expired in 2004 but has been kept cool
and dry since purchase.
I'm keeping these rolls inexpensive by re-using old
film cassettes and sticking on an artsy label I've made just so you
know what's inside. Using a bulk loader I made rolls of approximately
21 exposures each, sometimes a bit more or less and as with most bulk
loaded film the very last picture of each roll will not be exposed as
that is where it is taped. This is NOT a stock product from Fuji and I
am not proporting to represent that fine company in any manner.
My Examples: These were shot with a Nikon F4 and developed at my local lab as regular C-41. They were all shot at or around ƒ2.8
using aperture priority except the graffiti picture which was shot on a
tripod at ƒ16 for about 50 seconds. Be sure to check out #33 shot
indoors with fluorescent lighting.
